No experience necessary! We welcome enthusiastic members who would like to start a new hobby or maybe get back into one. Being involved in a theatre production, be it on or off stage, is very rewarding and a great way to meet like-minded people in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The Playhouse is open for rehearsals most Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm between September to May depending on the demands of the current production. Contact our membership secretary, Tom Bannister, on 01246 272271 for more information about joining us or fill out the contact form above.
During our production season most Sunday mornings from 10am the playhouse is open for set construction. If you have an interest in DIY, are a tradesperson who wishes to volunteer their services, or simply fancy learning a new skill then we welcome enthusiastic volunteers to help build our sets. No experience is needed, our members will gladly share their knowledge and experience as nobody is expected to be an expert at anything. Come along and pick up a screwdriver or wield a paintbrush in a relaxed, friendly environment with a guarantee of plenty of tea and biscuits. Contact our membership secretary, Tom Bannister, on 01246 272271 for more information about joining us, or or fill out the contact form above.
We ask members of the theatre company to pay a yearly membership fee of £10 per year, for this small charge you will receive:
Consideration for casting in our forthcoming productions
Access to our members emailing list and Facebook Group for news, information and announcements about HTC activities
Full support and a dedicated contact on the theatre management committee
Access to great social functions over the course of the year
Once you are settled into the theatre, you can collect and fill in a membership form obtained from a member of the theatre committee.
