The Playhouse Box Office Opening Hours

The Box office for each show opens at 7.30 pm on Tuesday three weeks before performance week. Online booking is available 24/7 on the run up to a show and a manned box office service is available in-person or via the phone at the following times:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays - 7.30pm - 8.30pm

  • Performance Nights (On-the-door sales only) - 7pm - 7.20pm

Answer Phone Service

Outside of these times a telephone answering service is available for ticket requests, please leave us a message and we will contact you at the next available manned box office time.

Wheelchairs

We have a limited number of wheelchair seats available each night, please contact the box office for more information and availability details.

Payment Methods

We accept cash and major credit and debit cards in person at The Playhouse. Tickets booked over the phone can be paid for by credit and debit card and collected from the box office or issued as e-tickets via email.

Box Office Priorities

Some of our productions can be very popular and may sell-out in a short time, in order to ensure fairness we allocate tickets in a priority order. Before tickets go on sale to the general public we allocate seats for specific advanced bookings:

  1. Wheelchair Bookings - These have to be considered first since seats must be physically removed to accommodate them

  2. 'Friends of HTC' - By virtue of their having paid a subscription entitling them to advance booking privileges - (Please note this scheme is now closed and is not accepting new members)

  3. Cast and Crew of the production

  4. Block or Large Group Bookings

Once tickets are on sale to the public the following priority order is applied:

  1. Personal Applicants (from 7.30pm at the Box Office Window) and Online bookings.

  2. Postal and telephone bookings (Payment on order).

  3. Telephone Reservations.
